What movie has left you feeling disappointed?

Last year on my birthday I thought I was sitting down to see one of the scariest movies I’ve seen in decades.  I was hoping for another film like The Conjuring.  One that gives an explanation while using the power of shadows and our imagination.  A film with a build of up a creature that does not disappoint by the end with bad CGI.  The film I was expecting was about a disease that takes us over and creates a creature we cannot identify with by the time the disease courses through us.  What little did I know is that whoever edited the trailer for It Comes at Night is the most brilliant editor in Hollywood. What is the best movie you saw last year?

This is by far one of the hardest questions I’ve answered this whole challenge.  As most of you have probably figured out by now there are not many films I dislike.  And I say dislike because even if I say, “Oh I hated that movie,” I can’t really say that I truly hate anything.  When taking into account all the films I saw last year I thought about the film I’ve wanted to watch over and over again since viewing that film in the theater.  Continue reading “What is the best movie you saw last year?”

What is the last movie you saw in theaters?

I will admit two things before I go into the answer for the day.  I probably would not have seen this movie without Moviepass.  If it weren’t for going to three doctor’s appointments in one day, thus having the day off, I probably would not have the opportunity to go see this movie.  And a third reason I saw the film was a theater near me was FINALLY playing the film.  Continue reading “What is the last movie you saw in theaters?”

What was the first movie you saw in theaters?

I remember how excited my Aunt Michelle was to be the first one to take me to see a movie at the theater for the first time.  She did not take me to one that was close to the house either.  No, she decided to take me to the one that was at the mall, The Galleria to be exact.  I’m not sure how many people I know remember seeing movies there, but I can recall seeing two there and both were with my aunt.  I also remember her taking me to the arcade beforehand and getting to beat some poor gators heads.  But most of all I remember being the only kid who was not afraid of Ursula as she grew and showed the entire crowd why she had been deemed the sea witch.   Continue reading “What was the first movie you saw in theaters?”

What is your favorite movie quote?

Dirty Dancing has always had a special place in my heart.  From the moment my mother showed me the film, I was in love with Johnny Castle.  In all reality, I was in love with Patrick Swayze.  I immediately related to Baby’s desire to be with him.  Yes, he was handsome, but she ended up seeing a side of Johnny that no one else was ever privy to.  Of course, this is also a side that I’m not sure Johnny let many people in on either.  And just when he thought he had Baby pegged she said what has become my favorite movie quote of all time. Continue reading “What is your favorite movie quote?”

Who is your favorite movie villain?

I should start by saying that today’s question on the original challenge was not a question I could answer ultimately.  There are not any movies that I used to love that I now hate.  There is not a film that I actually would go as far to say that I hate.  So I decided to write about my favorite movie villain today.  This is a much harder question to answer somehow.  I truly believe that a good hero needs a good villain.  The problem is nine times out of ten I always find myself loving the villain of most films.  Continue reading “Who is your favorite movie villain?”

What is your favorite animated movie?

I can show you the world.  Shining, shimmering, splendid!  If you don’t know those lyrics, I do not know that we can be friends.  I’m joking of course, kind of, but anyone who has not seen Aladdin should do themselves a favor and go find it right now to watch.  I’ll wait until you’ve done so to finish typing.  Continue reading “What is your favorite animated movie?”

What is your favorite movie from childhood?

Growing up in the late eighties and early nineties was the best childhood that anyone could have wanted.  I’m clearly beyond biased in this scenario, but four of the greatest superheros were create in 1984, also the year I was born.  Coincidence?  Yes, but I want to say no here and reap in the greatness that became known around the world as the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.  And who wouldn’t?  Continue reading “What is your favorite movie from childhood?”

Who is your favorite director?

Picking a favorite director was not an easy task for me.  There are so many directors I love, but I realized there’s only one director who has a filmography where I love each and every film I’ve seen.  I really do need to make it a priority to see Yoga Hosers.  And if that does not tell you who I have chosen as my favorite director, I will reveal that in 5….4….3….2….1… Continue reading “Who is your favorite director?”

What is a movie that you know practically the whole script?

One day a while back I remember being beyond excited upon seeing the script for Scream was available to purchase. This was not how I learned practically the whole script of Scream. No, I watched Scream probably an abnormal amount of times and Scream 2 as well.  In fact, when I was in middle school I had a yellow folder where I wrote an obscene amount of quotes.  Continue reading “What is a movie that you know practically the whole script?”
